What Does Bilco Bob Really Do?

The following services come standard with any Bilco® Door installation performed by Bilco Bob:

Concrete Work:

This service is only performed if necessary. Some foundations are either cracked or uneven. In that case Bilco Bob will rework the foundation, so your new Bilco® door will mount correctly on the foundation.

Carpentry:

It is important that an insulated door is present at the bottom of the hatchway stairs.  The basement area of a home typically produces warm moist air.  A door that is not insulated or properly weather-stripped causes warm, moist air to leak through the door causing condensation on the Bilco® door, giving it the appearance that the door is leaking.  For an additional fee Bilco Bob will replace the entrance door at the bottom of the stairs.

Painting:

Bilco Bob applies a coat of paint to the entire door, especially to all the places which are difficult to reach after installation. This is done to provide adequate protection from the elements and add longevity to your new Bilco® door.

Sealant:

Bilco Bob will seal the door to the foundation, with a high grade polyurethane caulk.

Disposal:

For your convenience, Bilco Bob will remove all parts of your old door and properly dispose of them.
